This policy explains what personal information Meringue Suisse ("we", "us") collects through meringuesuisse.com, how we use it and who we share it with. It applies to visitors and customers of our website.
What we collect
- When you contact us or join our list: your name, email address and the message you send.
- When you order: your name, email address, phone number, shipping address and the items you order. Card details are entered on Stripe's secure payment page. We never see or store your full card number.
- When you browse: your cart is saved in your own browser (local storage) so it is still there when you come back. It stays on your device and is not used to track you. Like any website, the services that deliver our pages and fonts receive basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type.
How we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, including contacting you about delivery.
- To reply to your messages.
- If you subscribe, to send occasional news about Meringue Suisse. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep records required by law (for example, tax and accounting).
Who we share it with
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers we need to run the shop:
- Stripe: payment processing and fraud prevention (Stripe privacy policy).
- Cloudflare: securely passes your cart to Stripe when you check out.
- Formspree: delivers contact and newsletter forms to our inbox.
- GitHub Pages and Google Fonts: host the website and its fonts.
- Shipping carriers: your name and address, to deliver your order.
We may also disclose information if required by law.
Cookies and tracking
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe's payment page uses its own essential cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud.
Do Not Track
Because we do not track visitors across websites or over time, our site works the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, and no third party collects your browsing activity on our site for tracking purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep order information as long as needed to fulfil orders and meet legal, tax and accounting requirements. We keep messages and newsletter details until you ask us to delete them or unsubscribe.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing hello@meringuesuisse.com. We will reply within a reasonable time. Some information may need to be kept for legal reasons.
Security
Our website uses HTTPS, and payments are handled by Stripe, a certified PCI Level 1 payment provider. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
Children
Our website is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page and update the effective date above.
